OktavaMod is a custom-order shop. Your order (mod to an existing mic you are sending in, or a new modified mic) is individually scheduled for modification.
Once you place your order through OktavaMod - Shop you will immediately receive and automated acknowledgement. By the close of the next business day, you will received a personal email describing the exact modification, burn-in and shipment dates for your order.
OktavaMod is generally booked 2-3 weeks in advance for mods to client-supplied mics. Orders for in-stock, new modified mics are shipped within a week to allow for customer-specific mod requests, burn-in and retest. Orders for microphones not in stock at OktavaMod require an additional 1-2 delivery time from Oktava.
OktavaMod - Shop ships via United States postal service Priority Mail (domestic) and Global Express (international). Shipping charges are calculated based on total order weight and are shown during checkout.
Warrantee and Returns: Modifications to existing mics are warranted for 90 days. New microphones are warranted for a period of two years. In the unlikely event that a problem develops during the warrantee period, contact michael@oktavamod.com to discuss the problem and arrange return shipping.
Shipping your mic to OktavaMod: USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days) is the least expensive of the expedited services. I have never had a properly packed mic damaged during shipping to or from OktavaMod. so I would say insurance is optional. However, I do recommend using "signature required" service which guarantees that I personally receive your mic.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: You must indicate the following on your customs paperwork and select the proper shipping category for goods being sent for repair and return: "Shippers own microphone being sent for servicing in the USA and will be returned. Please do not charge "new good" duties upon entry in USA or upon return to (your country). "
