I would definitely like to say that they are every bit as good as my Schoeps and Microtech Gefells.
A musician friend of mine came around and played some of his songs. I recorded acoustic guitar using the 012 as a spot mic and the MK319 as the main vocal mic. I recorded straight into my Sound Devices 722 and then we played out through my Benchmark DAC 1 into my stereo system.
The modded 012s are excellent microphones. Very natural sounding and extremely usable for my classical recording and other applications. The omni seems very good and the hypercardiod was good as a spot microphone.
Thanks for your dedication to your craft. We have had a great evening listening to the music made using these microphones. |
