Got your \"Hulk\" 990 LDC after listening to some mic shootouts. Wanted to do a review after using it on a couple projects:
-A female vocalist recorded with your mic gave me goosebumps upon playback. The richness and clarity of this mic was astonishing!
-Recorded tenor sax using the Hulk and your LR44 yielded great results...a smooth, full, natural sound.
-Acoustic guitar recorded crisply and naturally. The Hulk really allowed the high end to shine.
Your Hulk made it easier for my instruments and vocals to sit correctly in the mix.
Best of all, the Hulk, LR44, and a matched set of MJE-384 SDC (that I plan on purchasing) all together will cost much less than one Neumann U87, and will be far more versatile. Thanks so much! |
