"Michael just saved me $600.00!

I shoot video professionally as well as record in a home studio. Producers have asked me in the past to use a shotgun mic for interviews instead of my trusty Sanken COS-11sBP wired lavalier. Nobody seems to like having a mic in the shot, no matter how small it is.

I was looking into purchasing a shotgun mic but I ran a test of the Sanken and my newly modded 603s and the 603s came out on top in stride. It was like lifting a blanket off the audio. Even comparing the Sanken on a mic stand vs. the 603s it was night and day.

For a CHEAP but usable shotgun mic (Sennheiser ME66) and shockmount outfit it would have cost me around $600.00 . Instead I can use mic stands I already own and a mic I already own that sounds equal or maybe even better
than the ME66. Thanks a LOT Mike!"
