I love my mod to my MXL mic, Michael was right, we all have one of these lying around. I work at Black Lion Audio and the tech\'s here all rave about his mod\'s. I gave it a try, I am a small home based studio, my first mic upgrade was a Baby Blue Bottle, and that changed my world. Then I got the Joly-mod, when I AB\'d the mic\'s, there was so much dept in the modded MXL. I can\'t thank you enough, I use it with my BLA pre and I tell all my customers my success story with Michael Joly.
If you are on the fence about this mod, I say do it, to be able to have that \"Big Dollar\" sound on a budget is priceless. |
