 Effective 15 September 2018, I ended all mic modification and new mod'd mic sales. More on this in a moment ... The past 12+ years have been very rewarding for me. I've loved serving nearly 20,000 clients the old fashioned way -- by speaking with with almost all of you with multiple emails (and 10x as many folks who were just inquiring or seeking information), and then going on to deliver customer-focused mic mods and a customer service experience that so many people have said is second to none. So thank you for giving me the opportunity to be of service to you. The past 3 years of my life have been a period of intense and rapid personal and professional growth. Two years ago I resumed work I started nearly 30 years ago (when I lived at the Piano Factory artist live / work space in Boston), that of exploring the intersection of sound and consciousness. In January of 2018 my new company Hear Now Systems, Inc. launched a new consumer mindfulness meditation product on Amazon called N.O.W. Tone Therapy System. N.O.W. has been enthusiastically received by consumers in many countries, we achieved "Most Wished For" status in our product category (Sound Therapy) last month at Amazon, got picked up by UncommonGoods online and have garnered a good number of 5 star reviews who tell us N.O.W. is changing their lives for the better. Recently I was invited into the prestigious Y Combinator business incubator's online Startup School 2018, and was also accepted into the inaugural class of the Transformational Technology Academy and I’m fielding inquiries about sound and consciousness speaking opportunities. So you see ... the demands on my time have increased with N.O.W. Tone Therapy System taking off. I've reached a point where I simply cannot provide the prompt boutique microphone service I have provided to you these past 12 years. I've tried to develop successors and looked to bring in outside partners. But believe me, it has proven to be impossible to grow or find successors who can replace the founder of a boutique microphone modification service. So OktavaMod / MJE has ceased new sales operations as of 15 September 2018. Repairs / Warrantee -- Effective 15 September 2018 existing OktavaMod / MJE microphones will carry a no-cost repair warrantee until 31 January 2018. Effective 1 January 2019 microphones will be repaired at our customary labor and material cost basis until 19 September 2019. After that date OktavaMod / MJE will no longer provide repair services.
